Erie County Bar Assn. correctly declines to recommend County Judge Domitrovich, her second non-recommendation

(Post-election note: Regrettably, while the Bar Assn.'s non-recommendation and attendant publicity reduced Domitrovich's vote total, it was not enough to defeat her ten-year retention at the Nov. 3 general election. Much if not all of the blame can be placed with the Erie Times-News, Erie's monopoly daily newpaper, which merely noted the Bar's rating of her without digging into the reasons hy she was not recommended, both this year, and back in 2002 when she unsuccssfully ran for the State…See More

Terry Shaffer replied to connie bierzonski's discussion 'The quagmire of PA political contributions'
I think you make a very good point, Connie. The task seems overwhelming at times. But I think if we get the ball rolling, it will pick up its own momentum. The greatest part of our job will be convincing people it's not impossible.

The quagmire of PA political contributions

Today Terry sent an email asking us to look into campaign finance, especially for our own representative. While I was reading it, I was struck by the similarity to the work being done by the Independence Caucus (www.ourcaucus.com) to work on a national level to expose the corruption that has made our national representatives unresponsive to us and beholden to lobbyists and the companies they represent. There are many levels of contribution available for…See More
